Roman Road

The Roman Road

"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost" Luke 19:10

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? Romans 2:4

In his kindness, God often holds back his judgement on us for our sins. Unfortunately, we sometimes mistake God's patience with us for his approval of the way we are living. His kindeness in holding back judgement is not to give us time to continue living the wrong way but to give us time to realize our mistakes and to humble ourselves down before him and ask for forgiveness. We must continually pray that God will point out our mistakes and our sins so that we can seek repentance. It is easy to look at others and see where they are going wrong, but it is hard to look at our own lives and to admit that we are not perfect and that we are indeed sinners.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Sin is sin. It's just that simple. It does not matter in God's eyes whether you murder someone or you tell a lie. Both are a sin and it seperates us from God. It is man who tries to categorize sin and say that one is greater than the other because we don't want to take responsibility for our actions and admit that we are sinners. We feel that as long as we keep most of the commandments and don't commit the "big" sins, that we are ok and God will understand the small stuff. Do not minimize the "little" sins because they still seperate us from God just like the "big" sins. Sin is Sin.
